ThermIQ was established to address a gap emerging across the built environment. While adoption of heat pumps and low-carbon technologies has accelerated rapidly, specialist servicing and performance management expertise has not kept pace. We recognised that asset owners and property managers needed more than maintenance contractors. They needed a long-term technical partner focused on protecting building performance through energy system performance.

Our Leadership Team
Fintan Lyons
Managing Director
Fintan is a founder and Director of ThermIQ, bringing over a decade of energy-sector entrepreneurship and deep expertise across CHP, commercial heating systems and building services. He previously founded Kaizen Energy, developing extensive experience in the design, installation and operation of district heating and low-carbon energy systems, before successfully selling the business to Yuno Energy. Fintan holds an MBA, combining his engineering and energy-sector background with strong commercial and strategic capability. He is driving ThermIQ’s business expansion into heat pump maintenance, applying his track record in asset lifecycle support, reliability and customer-first service delivery to help clients maximise the performance and long-term value of their CHP and heat pump assets.
Paul Begadon
Service Director
Paul has worked in the HVAC sector since 2016, with a core specialism in the design, commissioning, maintenance, and overhaul of CHP systems, alongside extensive experience in heat pumps. He is F-Gas and RGI registered. Prior to this, he spent nine years as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in the Irish Defence Forces and holds a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering. Paul has built deep experience across Ireland's commercial CHP sector, with strong relationships across leading manufacturers including TEDOM, 2G, EC Power, SenerTec Dachs, and INDOP. As a founder and Service Director, he leads ThermIQ's technical and service operations.
